About My Challenge
Whatever you’re going through, call us (The Samaritans Charity) free any time, from any phone, on 116 123.
I’m taking on The 2,000 Push-Up Challenge to raise awareness throughout February 5-27. All proceeds enable Samaritans to answer more calls for help from those at crisis point or feeling suicidal.
This target represents the 2,000 people who die each day (worldwide) through suicide.
This cause runs deep personally for myself and I’m not only doing this to raise awareness, raise funds for charity but also in memory of 2 people I personally had the honour of knowing.
Lee Brown - A close friend of mine who I grew up with and shared a classroom for over 8yrs, class of 94. So many childhood memories of Browny (Browncow).
Dave Hayes - My cousins best friend Stephen Mahoney who he thinks of daily, had time for everyone and always was great with me.
Dedicated to: Lee Brown & Dave Hayes
Supporting Samaritans
Samaritans is the charity that prevents suicide through the power of human connection. Connecting people in crisis with trained volunteers who will always listen. People calling for change with those who need to listen. People who’ve been there before, with those struggling now.
Samaritans make sure there’s always someone to listen if you’re in crisis or feeling suicidal. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
By donating, you're helping someone with suicidal thoughts get help when they need it most.
