About My Challenge
I'm completing 2,000 push-ups in 23 days to raise awareness of mental health and fundraise for Samaritans as someone who has and does struggle with mental health themselves, to be a man and struggle is a lonely scary place, it feels sometimes there is nobody to turn to and nobody out there cares, its a toxic manipulative situation against your self, i’ve had those dark thoughts but i was saved by 8 paws, 2 tails and a few barks here and there, some people aren’t as fortunate and have less and in their heads more reason to give up, in the uk men account for 74% of all suicide deaths and it is the biggest killer for men under 50 and it really needs to stop, we need change and it isn't just men, its women too, however, most times they are able to reach out and speak as there is a bigger stigma for mens mental health, as someone who has been affected by the topic and has friends affected too i just believe i have to do this, to be better for myself and be better for everyone going through the storm, so i ask for support as I push for better mental health from 5-27 February. All proceeds enable Samaritans to answer more calls for help from those at crisis point or feeling suicidal, let’s break the stigma, let’s be there for those who need it, thank youSupporting Samaritans
Samaritans is the charity that prevents suicide through the power of human connection. Connecting people in crisis with trained volunteers who will always listen. People calling for change with those who need to listen. People who’ve been there before, with those struggling now.
Samaritans make sure there’s always someone to listen if you’re in crisis or feeling suicidal. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
By donating, you're helping someone with suicidal thoughts get help when they need it most.
