Nicholas Wilson

Nick Wilson supporting Samaritans

I saw this via an online ad, and thought it looked appropriate.

At my gym (Stags and Does Milton) members sometimes do fundraising for mental health issues.

I'll put my money where my mouth is and put something towards my fundraising target myself.

Personally, I have struggled with depression in the past, and experienced suicidal feelings, so I understand this is an important cause.

Samaritans says: I'm completing 2,000 push-ups in 23 days to raise awareness of mental health and fundraise for Samaritans. Please support me as I push for better mental health from 5-27 February. All proceeds enable Samaritans to answer more calls for help from those at crisis point or feeling suicidal.

Supporting Samaritans

Samaritans is the charity that prevents suicide through the power of human connection. Connecting people in crisis with trained volunteers who will always listen. People calling for change with those who need to listen. People who’ve been there before, with those struggling now.

Samaritans make sure there’s always someone to listen if you’re in crisis or feeling suicidal. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

By donating, you're helping someone with suicidal thoughts get help when they need it most.
