Push Ups for the other guys..
So, there was this instagram ad i saw today claiming they wanted people to do 2,000 push ups for charity, and thought it'd be a lol, plus I value the cause, so i'm upping it to a tidy 2,300 pushups over the 23 days and dedicating it to men's mental health awareness x
If you guys want to donate, be my guest. Dont break the bank but £1 each day from someone would be a cheeky £23 towards those help lines and charities that are there for us gents, when no one else may be. Not all of us are blessed with families, parents and siblings that can look out for us in times of need, so samaritans is the next best thing for the vulnerable man.
Gonna hit 100 but may double it to 200 push ups a day if i'm feeling cheeky (which really isn't that bad), at 5-10 sets of 20 a time, should be easy enough 🤔🤮🤭😆
Perhaps I could smash them out in half the time if i cap the daily quest at 200 or double up to 4,600 if i'm mad enough + there is a tonne of different push up variations to do, and i have also been going gym recently, so wish me luck and resilience for this valiant attempt. I shall try my damndest!
***I'm completing 2,300 push-ups in 23 days across 5-27th February to primarily raise awareness for men's mental health and fundraise for Samaritans. Please support me as I push for better mental health amongst the common man, who typically takes on a tonne of shit but won't say much about it (as most men dont tend to). In general, Men's suicide rates are also far higher than to women's, and we don't allow much time to talk about that kind of delicate stuff amongst peers or in public, so I thought this is a good chance to highlight some of the bad times, in favour of more good times for my young and old chaps out there. ✌️🥲🤌***
All proceeds enable Samaritans to answer more calls for help from those at crisis point or feeling suicidal." Etc. etc.
