2,000 push-ups over 23 days to represent the ~2,000 lives lost to suicide each day, worldwide. It's a big challenge, but your efforts can make a big difference to mental health outcomes in the UK.
First things first: Have you registered and created your Team or Community? Hit 'Sign up' to get started, then, follow this guide for everything you need to know to keep on track.

Recruit some teammates
Invite friends, family, or work colleagues to push for better together and create a team or community.
Fundraise
Fundraising is a great way to make a difference and enjoy the feel-good boost of giving back. Right now, Samaritans needs our help to answer more calls from people in crisis or those feeling suicidal.
Practice
Squeeze in a push-up or two before the Challenge kicks off to get those muscles primed. You can check out our Push-Up Variation Guide to mix up the moves. Remember, we love alternative exercises too - squats, lunges - anything goes.
Push yourself
From Feb 5 to 27, you'll receive a daily push-up goal inspired by an important Mental Health Fact. Sundays are rest days, or a time to play catch up if you need. Stay tuned via the app or our socials for daily push-up goals.

Next steps are to donate to yourself - people who support themselves are more likely to raise more donations. Then start sharing your fundraising page far and wide - SMS, email, WhatsApp - there's templates there to help.
Want to have fun with fundraising? Put the word out that you'll do your push-ups in a funny, challenging or silly (but safe and legal) way for a donation amount of your choice. Think £100 to do push-ups while belting out a song in public. You get the idea.

Rally the crew and your get your friends, family and work colleagues on board. The more the merrier.
Sign up solo, as part of a Team, or a Community. Being part of a Team is a great way to enjoy some chats and banter and help keep each other on track. The bigger your crew, the bigger the impact you can make as you push. It's easy to set up or join a Team - head to your dashboard and follow the prompts from there.
You can recruit others to join you too - sms, email, in person. Find templates in your dashboard to get the push-up party started.

ASK FAMILY & FRIENDS
Reach out directly via text or email to request support from your loved ones. A personal message and direct request can lead to big fundraising results. Here's an example:
"I am pushing myself to complete The Push-Up Challenge to raise much needed funds for Samaritans. The challenge is to complete 2,000 push-ups in 23 days. This is important to me because ~2,000 lives are lost to suicide each day, worldwide. Will you donate to help me push for better mental health outcomes?
