About My Challenge

I’m a mental health nurse, and I’ve spent the last 10 years working alongside people during some of the most painful, frightening, and overwhelming moments of their lives. I’ve listened to stories of loneliness, despair, fear, and hopelessness. I have also seen how powerful it can be when someone feels heard, understood, and not alone.

I’ve seen first-hand how easily someone can reach a crisis point, and how vital it is that support is there in that moment without judgement, without pressure, and without conditions.

That’s why I’m taking on the Samaritans Push-Up Challenge, completing 2,000 push-ups between 5th and 27th February, to raise funds for a charity that provides exactly that kind of support. Samaritans are there for people at their lowest, often when they feel they have nowhere else to turn.

This challenge is physically tough, but it’s nothing compared to what so many people battle with every day in silence. If you’re able to donate no matter how much, you’ll be helping to ensure that someone, somewhere, will have a compassionate voice on the other end of the line when they need it most.

Thank you for reading, for caring, and for supporting something that truly saves lives.

Supporting Samaritans

Samaritans is the charity that prevents suicide through the power of human connection. Connecting people in crisis with trained volunteers who will always listen. People calling for change with those who need to listen. People who’ve been there before, with those struggling now.

Samaritans make sure there’s always someone to listen if you’re in crisis or feeling suicidal. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

By donating, you're helping someone with suicidal thoughts get help when they need it most.
